                              Is it okay to have 5 or 6 founders for a startup

I am running a startup & as a thumb rule, you never go beyond a four. However many skillsets you bring in to compliment, a maximum of four people in any organisation are simply enough to do the groundwork & reach a point where the next lot can be hired (with minimal equity/ESOP).

But if others are willing to put in as much the effort & agree to a limited decision making (defined on papers), I think you can take your chances. Just try imagine a few cases where things go south & what could be the possible decision making results be. If they are in control, you can roll!
