People organise meetups & private events all the time & I can especially say this from the experience of my product which was built exactly to serve this purple.

We like to believe that our product is more of a lifestyle than a technology & have just beta launched it this week. Meaning that a whole load of added functionality is on your way every few days. You can create private/public events and use it as per the desired situation.I will try in here to explain a few use cases of Twysk:

1. Invite everyone in the event & people can simply RSVP. So for a conference, house party, weekend trip, marathon, etc one can already see everyone else who is attending the conference irrespective of whether they know them or not.

2. Everyone on that event can pool photos without the need to know each other or share their personal contact data. They just simple pool photos of the event from their eyes & everyone can talk about it. Plus its all on the cloud, so thank god for saving the phone memory. :p

3. Finding information about the event was never so simple. Its like how you always know where to find if a movie is good or bad (imdb) and where exactly to look at the website. Similarly, its not a email or text or another platform where data is organised in multiple different ways. Its just simply organised for you to use.

4. It reminds you when the event is about to happen & acts like your google calender. Just that you dont need to do anything manually. It all just self organises itself.

5. You can follow your friends & see what other public events they are interacting with & maybe join them if it happens to interest you.

6. We are adding the explore functionality wherein you can find everyday events around the globe through photos.

7. And a lot more. You should definitely definitely give it a 7 MB shot it deserves. The worst that could happen is you spend 5 mins exploring a new app, the best could be it changes the way you GO OUT.
